The only thing missing from Huney Bear ($28.99) is a swarm of bees. And we don’t recommend that particular accessory. Bear and honey pot are 95% poly bunting, and 100% cute. Beats hell out of that brown shag rug you had to wrap yourself in for your bear “costume.”

No, you can’t cash baby in: this suit is not legal tender. But Billion Dollar Baby ($21.44) looks like a billion bucks. The bag is soft fleece bunting, enclosed at the bottom, with bling flying out of the head. It’s a great statement about where you want to be. Or make your kid the president of Lehmann Brothers, for another kind of monetary statement.

Put in a call to Anne Geddes! Pink Baby Blossom ($38) is a ray of sunshine on a gloomy Halloween night. It’s a soft fleece suit with easy-in easy-out zipper and separate Velcro hood. And adorable? Um, yeah?!

You’d look kind of weird sniffing your kids Halloween costume all night, but not if they’re wearing Car Freshener. ($29.99) This gem is a life-size version of the air freshener you’ve got hanging on your rear-view. It doesn’t smell as good, but it’s one of the niftiest kids costumes we’ve seen yet.

This one almost took the top prize. Does it get any cooler, or hipper, than a Wonderbread costume? ($29.99) If you wanted to be a loaf of bread in your day, you’d have to wrap a bread bag around your head and risk suffocation. This is better! And way less pathetic.

Winner! Lil’ Elephant ($49.99) is the be-all end-all precious of this year. This full-body suit is fluffy soft velour with snap-leg closures, slip-on booties and hood. And it’s at least ten miles past adorable. Your little guy will be the king of the jungle in Lil’ Elephant, the winner of the First Annual CoolBabyGear Top 10 Halloween Costumes.
